A Lazy Jack system, if rigged properly can offer care free sail control for your mainsail. The simplicity of Lazy Jacks make them inexpensive to install and easy to maintain. They take the hassle out of setting, dousing and reefing your full battened mainsail. Lazy Jacks can easily be loosened and pulled forward when racing. The diagram below shows how we position and rig our three leg lazy jacks for booms over fifteen feet. We recommend a two leg lazy jack system for booms less than 15 feet.
