We Love Sailing

Maine Sailing Partners was founded in 1983 on the third floor of an old wooden building on the Portland waterfront. Doing business as Shore Sails Maine we grew steadily, and in 1987 we moved to Lower Falls Landing in Yarmouth.  In 1996 we became MAINE SAILING PARTNERS Sail Company.  We moved again in August 2008 to our purpose built, 7200 square foot sail loft in Freeport, Maine.

As sailmakers, we are lucky to be able to share our passion for sailing through our work.  As craftsmen, it is our love of sailing that drives us to create better sails. We are constantly developing new products, testing new materials and techniques, and reinforcing the traditional craftsmanship that is the foundation of a great sail.

Our goal is to build only one type of sail, the best we know how. We stand behind our sails, just as we have for nearly 30 years, with pride for our product and dedication to the activity we love.

Maine Sailing Partners has service lofts in Southwest Harbor & Camden, and our main loft in Freeport. We design, cut and build all our sails at our Freeport, Maine, loft.
